Corporate Giving

Your corporation or organization can get involved with supporting the Norton Healthcare Foundation.

Sponsorships

Involve your company in one or more of the foundation’s annual fundraising events. Becoming an event sponsor gives your business tremendous community exposure and offers your employees the chance to get involved with fun and worthwhile activities.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching gift programs to increase the impact of their employees’ philanthropic dollars. We encourage you to check with your employer to see if matching funds can be applied to your gift to the Norton Healthcare Foundation.

Employee giving

Companies that hold employee giving campaigns can designate the Norton Healthcare Foundation as a giving option.

Visit or Volunteer as a Group

Companies often volunteer as a group through special events and projects. We would love to share more about our group volunteer opportunities. You can also plan a tour or visit.

Naming Opportunities

If your company would like to learn more about naming opportunities available at Norton Healthcare hospitals or Norton Cancer Institute, call us at (502) 629-8060.

Gifts in Kind

While monetary gifts are the most useful to our hospitals because they can be used to purchase items needed most, we do accept other types of donations, including books, music items and gift cards.

Some Things You Need to Know Before Donating:

  • All donations are tax deductible through the Norton Healthcare Foundation. Call (502) 629-8060 for more information.
  • Any items made of latex, including balloons, are not allowed in our hospitals.

Here is Our Wish of List of Items That Are Needed Most:

  • Gasoline gift cards
  • Gift cards to restaurants located close to our hospitals
  • Books
  • Music for our music therapy programs

Hope Scarves at Norton Cancer Institute
Hope Scarves is a program that provides scarves to women undergoing cancer treatment. After requesting a scarf through a Norton Cancer Institute Resource Center, the recipient will receive a scarf along with the stories of the women who wore it before her. When she is finished using the scarf, she can add her own story and send it back to Hope Scarves. The scarf will be professionally cleaned and sent to another woman. Scarves with stories can be donated at any Norton Cancer Institute Resource Center location.

For more information about the Hope Scarves program at Norton Cancer Institute, contact Rebecca McMahon at (502) 636-7845.

To discuss other ideas or learn about items needed, call the Norton Healthcare Foundation at (502) 629-8060.

Leave a Legacy: Learn About Planned Giving

Many people have a desire to support a favorite charity but are unable to help as much as they would like. You might be surprised to learn that there are ways in which you can help the Norton Healthcare Foundation while minimizing your taxes and still being able to leave an inheritance for your loved ones.

The 1881 Society
The 1881 Society honors the unending generosity of The Rev. John N. Norton, whose name Norton Healthcare carries, as well as the generosity of living individuals who include the Norton Healthcare Foundation in their estate and financial planning. If you’ve included the Norton Healthcare Foundation in your estate plans, notify the foundation to become a member of the 1881 Society.

Wade Mountz Heritage Society
The Wade Mountz Heritage Society recognizes individuals who have made irrevocable gifts of $100,000 or more in their estate planning to the Children’s Hospital Foundation to support Norton Children’s, or to the Norton Healthcare Foundation to support Norton Audubon Hospital, Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Norton Hospital or Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital.

The Wade Mountz Heritage Society is named in honor of Norton Healthcare president emeritus Wade Mountz and embodies many of his core values, such as his vision, leadership, character, commitment and integrity.

Have you made an irrevocable gift of $100,000 or more to the Children’s Hospital Foundation or Norton Healthcare Foundation in your estate plans? Contact the foundations office at (502) 629-8060 so you can be inducted into the Wade Mountz Heritage Society.

Norton Healthcare Foundation Funds

The Norton Healthcare Foundation has established numerous funds with specific purposes. You may designate your donation to go to one of those funds or to the area of greatest need. Gifts made to the Norton Healthcare Foundation with no designation will be used in the area of greatest need, as determined by the finance and grants committee of the Norton Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors.
