Pals Course

Course Description

The purpose of this course is to train medical, nursing and other healthcare personnel in the ability to provide care in cardiac arrest management and emergency cardiac care when dealing with pediatric patients. The standards of the American Heart Association are followed through lecture, demonstration, small group sessions and testing stations; participants can acquire the skills necessary to obtain providership status. This challenging course allows each student to ask questions and understand all aspects of PALS in a friendly environment. Instructors work to ensure students understand the material by offering small group sessions and personalized attention. Must complete skills stations and have a passing grade of 85%.
