As COVID-19 guidelines change, refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for guidance.
Testing includes a visit with a provider and is available at Norton Immediate Care Centers, Norton Children’s Medical Group pediatrician offices, Norton Community Medical Associates primary care offices and Norton Prompt Care locations. You also may use Norton eCare virtual care, available 24/7, to discuss your symptoms with a provider and get scheduled for COVID-19 testing at Norton Healthcare Express Services, a drive-thru testing location.
If you are visiting Norton Healthcare Express Services, follow these instructions carefully:
Bring any photo ID and insurance information, if applicable.
Norton Healthcare currently is offering rapid and laboratory send-out PCR COVID-19 testing as well as antigen tests that are conducted on-site.
Send-out lab test results typically take 24 hours to return from our lab partner. Please note that the return of results is an estimate and is subject to lab capabilities and patient demand.
Rapid PCR and on-site antigen tests are available at most locations and provide results within 24 hours.
Your results will be sent electronically to your Norton MyChart account.
If you need proof of a negative COVID-19 test result, test results are available electronically and securely through your Norton MyChart account.
It’s always a good idea to contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage. COVID-19 testing for travel is also billed through insurance. All locations accept most insurance plans. If you prefer to pay for the test yourself, payment will be due at your visit. Cost may vary depending on type of COVID-19 test required. Other providers, including community COVID-19 testing sites, may provide COVID-19 testing free of charge to those without insurance.
An antibody test is a blood test that looks for signs of a past infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. The test requires an IV blood draw and is available for healthy adults at Norton Community Medical Associates primary care locations. Antibody testing is not available for children at this time.
