Computerized Dynamic Posturography/Immersive Virtual Reality

The Bertec immersive virtual reality training system combines immersive virtual environments with dual-balance force plate technology to help combat neurological symptoms such as dizziness, balance issues and motion sensitivity. This tool has proven to increase patient motivation, adaptability and variability—all factors that positively affect patient outcomes.

ZeroG Gait and Balance System

The Aretech system allows patients to practice walking without the risk of a fall. Using overheard, dynamic body-weight support patients can practice walking, balancing, sit-to-stand movements and stairs. Cressman Neurological Rehabilitation is the only center in the Louisville area to offer this technology.

Driving Simulation System

Driving is a part of everyday life and Norton Healthcare works alongside patients to assess and develop safe driving skills using the Virage Simulation technology. This technology provides a way to evaluate a patient’s driving abilities, using a genuine functioning automotive dashboard and control panel and simulated car driving sound system from the safety of our facility.

BITS, L300 and H200

Three technologies from Bioness address the symptoms of neurological issues:

  • Bioness Integrated Therapy System is an interactive touch screen device that challenges visual, cognitive, motor and balance abilities of patients.
  • The L300 Go System helps patients with foot drop or hand paralysis.
  • The Bioness H200 wireless hand rehabilitation system assists patients with reaching, grasping and more.
