Resource Center services are available at no cost to Norton Neuroscience Institute patients, thanks to donations to the Norton Healthcare Foundation.

Rehabilitation Services

Norton Healthcare offers specialized rehabilitation services for patients with neurological conditions. Cressman Neurological Rehabilitation, Norton Neurosciences & Spine Rehabilitation Center, and Norton Specialty Rehabilitation Center – St. Matthews are designed to support patients in their symptom management and care journey. 

Norton Healthcare Driving Assessment Program

This Norton Neurosciences & Spine Rehabilitation Center service evaluates individuals affected by neurological, orthopedic or developmental conditions, and those who have experienced age-related changes in function. Its goal is to help restore driving ability so you can return to safe, independent driving.

Norton Neuroscience Institute provides access to on-demand patient education resources for all neurological conditions. Support for a portion of this digital education resource has been made possible by the Harold, Juanita, David, Dennis & Gary Koon Charitable Foundation through the Norton Healthcare Foundation.

Nurse Navigators

Nurse navigators are designated to support patients through their journey at Norton Healthcare. Offered through the Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Center, nurse navigators consult with patients and their caregivers regarding medical and personal matters. Patient navigation services are free and available as often as needed. A nurse navigator can help:

  • Educate you and your family members about diagnoses, available treatments and managing disease
  • Take full advantage of a multidisciplinary team of health care providers who can offer their specialized insights as part of a coordinated approach to care
  • Facilitate accurate and timely communication among patients, primary caregivers and health care providers

  • Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Centers offer ways to improve your access to care, provide valuable information on managing your disease and address your quality of life issues. The Norton Healthcare Foundation funds this important service, so patients don’t need to pay.
  • Dedicated patient navigators can help schedule follow-up appointments, coordinate prescription assistance, create customized diet plans and provide guidance on disability benefits, housing, financial and employment concerns and more.
  • Patients can access support groups, exercise classes and other educational events to connect with others and learn how to make the most of life while managing a neurological condition. 
  • Access an on-demand video library of educational content across a variety of condition-related topics is available.
